On the Occasion of National Day of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the 42nd Anniversary of the Islamic Revolution of Iran Victory
As-salamu alaykum
At the outset, I would like to thank you all for attending the virtual commemorative ceremony of celebrating the National Day of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the 42nd anniversary of the Islamic Revolution of Iran victory. These days are a reminder of one of most important and glorious sociopolitical changes in the contemporary world; in which the ordinary people established a chance to decide for their destination by their own will and power.
The Late Imam Khomeini as the great leader of the celebrated Islamic Revolution followed by the Iranian citizens regardless of their religion and ethnicity could overcome a tyrant foreign depended political system of Pahlavis.
Nowadays the Iranian nation is proud of diverse achievements in economical oriented science and technology development in nanotechnologies and biotechnologies. Iran is among a few states, who could accomplish the whole nuclear enrichment cycle in the industrial scale. Nobody could scrutinize in stem cell studies, without hearing from Iran. Biomedicine originated from my land has found its place in the global market; and Iran is on the cutting edge of Vaccine developments.
Today there are 2700 Higher Education Institutions in Iran, which was not imaginable in before 1979 era. Moreover, there is in overwhelming increasing trend in publication based on Islamic teachings, which praises study from cradle to grave.
Meanwhile I’m honored to state that domestic struggle for self sufficiency in agricultural and industrial products reduced the harm from the so-called worst imposed economical pressure throughout history. International reliable sources declare from the valid statistics and data that the available numbers are exemplars of Iranian comprehensive progress in the past 42 years.
The committed to global peace Islamic Republic of Iran has paid more than a double burden of one state to sustain stability and peace in its peripheral region and beyond. Destruction of ISIS as a transnational terrorist organization by General Ghasem Soleimani was a gift to the families around the world to enjoy the smile of each other. Although, he soul rests in peace, but the illegal and terrorist act, which led to his martyrdom is prosecutable and all culprits and its associated criminals will present before court soon or late.
The Iranian nation and state is globally recognized with the mutual respect and dignity in negotiations and the agreed commitments has always been secured. The peace keeping Iranian soul has zero tolerance for oppression and tyranny; this is while courageous nations never bear violated agreements either.
Islamic Republic of Iran privileging from a geostrategic position and benefitting from natural resources and huge labor force and market place retains a unique capacity for initiate and develop economic and trade cooperation with all sovereign states.
I, as the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Kingdom of Thailand, am very hopeful that by the current drafts being finalized and more MOUs to be signed in various economic, cultural and scientific fields, a more vivid future is awaiting for the bilateral ties between two nations.
The last nine month statistics shows a 160 USD millions of surplus for the Iranian side; while I believe the long history of trade between two nations, which is documented from King Narai the Great era at least, is not in its optimum situation. Thailand is known in my country not only because of its tourism lovely standpoint, but also by the Iranian traders attempt to import high quality Thai products. Iran also has its historical lovers in Thailand from the very prominent well respectable families of Iranian descendent; to art, science and trade customers, who are seeking the affordable trusted quality.
Post Islamic Revolution in Iran, 23 city-sisters agreements and 200 chair of Farsi teaching in universities worldwide are recorded, while more than 30000 non Iranian students graduated from the universities and centers of excellence in Iran; Thailand has a talent of being more engaged in the Iranian mindset. But it pre-requires a more enthusiasm from Thailand business and Academia to deal with the Iranian counterparts.
