Special Envoy of the Kingdom of Thailand meets with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of I.R. Iran

H.E. Mr. Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara Special Envoy of the Kingdom of Thailand and H.E. Dr. Seyyed Abbas Araghchi Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran held discussions on Friday 3 July 2026 on the sidlines of H.E. Mr. Parnpree’s visit to Iran to attend the official funeral ceremony for His Eminence Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei former Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran

H.E. Mr. Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara, Special Envoy of the Kingdom of Thailand, and H.E. Dr. Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, held discussions on Friday, 3 July 2026, on the sidlines of H.E. Mr. Parnpree’s visit to Iran to attend the official funeral ceremony for His Eminence Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, former Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran. During the meeting, both held talks on recent diplomatic developments following the period of conflict, sanction relief and possibility of oil sales to Thailand, maritime security in the Strait of Hormuz, the importance of reviving the Thailand–Iran Joint Commission mechanism in order to further advance and deepen bilateral cooperation in a more concrete manner, as well as exploring mutually beneficial cooperation, particularly in economic areas such as food products, including rice and sugar, tourism, and health.
