Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Thailand Accompanies the Minister of Economy in a Meeting with the President of the Islamic Development

On the sidelines of the Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group in Bangkok a joint meeting was held between His Excellency Mr. Madanizadeh the Honorable Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance and Dr. Muhammad Sulaiman Al Jasser President of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB).

 On the sidelines of the Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group in Bangkok, a joint meeting was held between His Excellency Mr. Madanizadeh, the Honorable Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance, and Dr. Muhammad Sulaiman Al Jasser, President of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB). His Excellency Nassereddin Heidari, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Thailand, and His Excellency Shamseddin Hosseini, former Minister of Economy and the Honorable Representative of the people of Tonekabon, also attended this meeting.

During the meeting, following up on approved projects and removing obstacles to their implementation—particularly in the areas of the environment, urban wastewater, and the development of educational infrastructure—were among the main focal points of the discussions. Furthermore, issues related the extension of financing and the re-approval of certain priority projects that had previously completed their evaluation stages were reviewed. Both sides also emphasized the necessity of pursuing the utilization of the remaining allocated funds to complete ongoing projects.

Strengthening banking coordination, settling installment payments, and facilitating the repayment process for financial obligations were also among the other topics raised during the session. At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides emphasized the continuation of expert-level consultations, the removal of existing obstacles, and focusing on completing unfinished projects with the aim of utilizing capacities for more effective cooperation in the future.
