A delegation from Iran's Planning and Budget Organization, led by His Excellency Asouji, Head of Macroeconomic Affairs of the Planning and Budget Organization, participated in the 11th session of the Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development (APFSD), held from February 25 to 28 of this year at the headquarters of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP). At this meeting, the country's development achievements in various fields, such as public health, women's empowerment, business, and other participation, were presented. It was emphasized that this development was achieved despite the US sanctions and the maximum pressure strategy in recent years. He stated, "The Asia-Pacific region is very diverse in implementing the 17 goals, and according to the latest report from the ESCAP Secretariat, only 16 out of 117 sustainable development indicators in this region have been achieved."
