The Ambassadors of Iran and Deputy Minister of Agriculture discuss Agricultural Cooperation

H.E. Mr. Nassereddin HEIDARI, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Thailand, met with H.E Mr. Amin Mayusoh, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives of the Kingdom of Thailand. During this meeting, both sides exchanged views on Memorandums of Understanding in the fields of animal health and plantation quarantine which are being undertaken, as well as knowledge exchange in the field of fisheries and expanding trade in agricultural products, especially halal food.

H.E. Mr. HEIDARI announced the willingness of Iran's fisheries sector to benefit from the expertise of Thai fisheries experts in combating the epidemic of some diseases in shrimp farms in Iran and the possibility of Thai entrepreneurs investing in Iran's livestock and fisheries industries.

The Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Thailand, emphasizing Thailand's commitment to becoming a global hub for agriculture and food, announced the government's desire to expand the halal food export market to the Middle East. H.E Mr. Mayusoh finally invited Iran's Minister of Agriculture and H.E. Mr. HEIDARI to attend the International Agricultural Exhibition in Udon Thani Province in 2026.
