Meeting Between the Ambassador of Iran in Thailand and the Director-General of International Organizations of the Thailand Ministry of Foreign Affairs

His excellency Dr. Nassereddin Heidari, the Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Kingdom of Thailand, met with Ms. Pinsuda Jayanama, Director-General of International Organizations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, on June 10, 2026.

During this meeting, which was held at the request of the Iranian side, both parties emphasized the deepening of cooperation within international organizations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Kingdom of Thailand. They also reiterated the importance of safeguarding international rules, with a central focus on maintaining the technical agenda in international organizations most notably the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Given Thailand's membership in the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and in the light of the distorted, anti-Iranian resolution tabled by some Western countries at the Board's meeting, a request was made for Thailand, as a friendly nation, to vote against the aforementioned resolution.
