Iranian Ambassador Meets with the Minister of Industry and Commerce of the Lao Peoples Democratic Republic

On Wednesday, March 5, 2025, H.E. Dr. Nassereddin Heidari, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Thailand (Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Lao People's Democratic Republic and the Republic of the Union of Myanmar), met and held discussions with H.E. Malaithong Kommasith, Minister of Industry and Commerce of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, in Vientiane.
During the meeting, discussions focused on ways to develop trade relations between the two countries, particularly through the exchange of trade delegations, the assessment of the feasibility of commodity exchange, and the sending of a trade delegation to participate in IRANEXPO 2025. Both sides also agreed to send a delegation from the Lao PDR to Tehran as a first step in initiating a new phase in trade relations between the two countries and to explore potential areas of cooperation.
